This is the electrical connection between the tow vehicle and the trailer. This is also called a 7-pin connector.
A 7 blade has these functions and a 12 volt circuit, a circuit for electric trailer brakes (requires a brake controller in the vehicle), and a reverse light or auxiliary power circuit. The auxiliary power circuit charges the trailer’s battery and will operate the refrigerator while you’re connected to the trailer.
A 4-Pin trailer connector has the basic lighting functions only; running lights, left turn signal and brake lights, right turn signal and brake lights, and ground.
You’ll need a 7 blade wiring harness electrical connection to rent a trailer from Central Texas RV Rentals. Our insurance carrier requires it.
